Since the beginning of the year, police officers have seized more than three tons of drugs in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
«At least 777 crimes related to drug trafficking have been registered for 9 months. A total of 3,123 kilograms of drugs have been confiscated. At least 220 brigades of 3,213 people were formed for the detection and destruction of wild-growing hemp on the territory of the republic,» the statement says.
The brigades mowed down 250.7 hectares of wild hemp. At least 187.6 tons of cannabis have been burned.
In addition, large-scale joint special operations were carried out with the law enforcement agencies of Russia and Kazakhstan, as a result of which 46,476 grams of hashish were seized on the territory of the Russian Federation, and 7,700 grams of opium, as well as 1,100 grams of hashish, were seized on the territory of Kazakhstan.
