«Kyrgyzstan offers the Turkic world and the international community the idea of creating a platform «Central Asia — Territory of the World,» the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said in his speech at the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS).
According to him, the global geopolitical situation remains tense to date. This is primarily due to the recent events in Afghanistan. This causes concerns in Central Asia.
«We would like all issues to be resolved peacefully, of course, through diplomatic dialogue, because, if the situation in Afghanistan deteriorates, this will directly affect the countries of Central Asia. There is no greater treasure for us than peace. Central Asia is the world leader in demographic development. Since time immemorial, our ancestors have valued the principle of living in peace and harmony, tolerance. We want to see our region as a territory of peace, brotherhood and good neighborliness. The peoples of Central Asia have long loved peace and appreciated the principles of coexistence,» the head of state said.
He reminded that Kyrgyzstan is an inseparable part of the Turkic world. Sadyr Japarov announced the intention of the republic to continue to take an active part in the relations and brotherhood of the Turkic world.
As he noted, Kyrgyzstan will make a significant contribution to the development of integration processes in the Turkic states. «We have one story and one language, we will continue to be together and united, following the advice of our ancestors,» he concluded.
