«For 30 years, the CIS has established itself as an authoritative international regional organization and the main dialogue platform for interaction between our countries in all priority areas,» the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said at a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which took place in format of a video conference.
According to him, since the 1990s, the CIS has contributed to the preservation of political, economic, humanitarian and cultural ties in the post-Soviet space, making its significant contribution to their subsequent strengthening and development in conditions of state building in the Commonwealth countries. The head of the Cabinet stressed that Kyrgyzstan is committed to further strengthening the multifaceted partnership within the CIS and developing friendly and mutually beneficial relations between the states.
«The development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the CIS member states is one of the important conditions for the sustainable growth of our states. Therefore, we consider it necessary to continue joint work to diversify foreign trade through the full-fledged functioning of the free trade zone, expansion of transport corridors, creation of favorable environment for attracting technologies and investments, as well as expansion of industrial cooperation between our countries,» he said.
«It is also necessary to make joint efforts aimed at ensuring conditions for the preservation of a single information, humanitarian and cultural space, as well as creation of favorable conditions for the stay of citizens of the member states in the Commonwealth countries,» Akylbek Japarov believes.
