President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed an order on preparation and celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
According to the document, the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, which was achieved thanks to the unity and feat of the fraternal peoples of the Soviet Union, will be marked in 2020.
«Taking into account the world historical significance of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, paying tribute to the heroism of the Soviet people who defeated the fascism, in order to coordinate the activities of state authorities in preparation, I hereby order to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Victory Day as a national holiday. The government is charged within a month to form an organizing committee for preparing and holding festive events, take measures to improve the social situation of veterans and home front workers, develop and approve a plan for preparing and holding basic festive events at the republican and local levels within three months, take measures to renovate the memorial complexes, monuments and obelisks to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War,» press service of the head of state notes.
