Aitmatov’s Memorial Complex to be built in native village of writer

The government staff of Kyrgyzstan do not agree with the criticism from MP Emil Toktoshev and are sure that they are holding the 90th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov at the highest level.

The 3rd International Issyk-Kul Forum Chingiz Aitmatov and Modern Challenges will take place from October 4 to October 7. The festival Aitmatov and Theater will start on November 12, where performances based on his works will be shown.

The Tourism Department under the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism has developed four tourist routes to the places described in the works of Chingiz Aitmatov.

About 15 hectares were allocated for the construction of a cultural-historical memorial museum complex Chyngyz-Ordo in the native village of the writer Sheker in Talas region.

A monument to Chingiz Aitmatov will be erected in Moscow.

Together with the state agency Uzbekkino, it is planned to shoot a feature film My Little Poplar in a Red Headscarf. The National Bank developed a sketch of a jubilee coin, and the Ministry of Culture prepared a souvenir plate with the image of Chingiz Aitmatov.

Recall, Emil Toktoshev accused the authorities of the country that nothing had been done to the 90th anniversary of the writer. He suggested building a memorial complex named after Chingiz Aitmatov on the site of the burnt down building of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
