Kyrgyzstanis won two medals at the Asian Championship in kyokushinkaikan karate. The Secretary General of Kyokushin Budo Karate Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic Nikolai Ragrin informed 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the championship took place in Astana (Kazakhstan). Athletes from 12 countries, including seven Kyrgyzstanis, participated in it. Begimzhan Kasymova won the bronze medal among women in the weight category over 60 kg. Mirlan Usongaziev also won bronze among men in the category over 90 kg.
Earlier, in preparation for the Asian Championship, Kyrgyzstanis won seven medals at a tournament in Almaty.
