Video surveillance was repeatedly installed in the cell of the ex-parliament member Omurbek Tekebayev in the correctional colony No. 47. The State Service for Punishment Execution reported.
The video recording device was reinstalled on April 25. The service stresses that this was done with the consent of the convict for security reasons.
Earlier, associates of Omurbek Tekebayev said that the installation of video cameras was a torture and humiliation of human dignity. On April 11, the Prime Minister Sapar Isakov sent a request to the State Penitentiary Service to remove video surveillance in Omurbek Tekebayev's cell. The service complied with the request.
