Almazbek Atambayev tells why he awards journalists and experts

Today in the State Residence «Ala-Archa» Almazbek Atambayev handed state awards to journalists, doctors, artists, deputies, experts — 150 people.

All of them were awarded «for a significant contribution to the social and economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic and the implementation of economic, social reforms, as well as high achievements in professional activities.»

According to the president, he decided to reward journalists and experts who in the early years of the reign were not afraid to support him.

In the first years of my presidency it was heroism to openly support me. If someone said that Atambayev works well, he was criticized.

Almazbek Atambayev also thanked cultural figures who glorify the country abroad. «When Kairat Primberdiev got the second place in «Voice» contest, I was very proud. We need such people — patriots,» the president said.
