«The government should form a commission to recover damages to businessmen and farmers affected by the situation on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border,» Kyrgyz Ombudsman Kubat Otorbaev said. This was reported by his press office.
According to him, the commission will include representatives of state bodies and business communities.
«In connection with the aggravation of bilateral diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, businessmen, farmers, entrepreneurs and ordinary citizens continue to incur losses. This force majeure situation is not connected with the business entities themselves and their obligations to partners. The state in the person of the government of the KyrgyzRepublic must commit itself to resolve the consequences of the force majeure situation, which will be expressed in calculating real losses and developing mechanisms for reimbursing the real costs incurred,» Kubat Otorbaev said.
«Citizens, businessmen, entrepreneurs and farmers shouldn’t become hostages and victims of interstate freelance relations,» the Ombudsman said.
