Recruiter of terrorist organization detained in Bishkek

A man who was on the international wanted list for crimes of extremist nature was detained in Bishkek. This was reported by the press center of the State National Security Committee (GKNB).

According to it, a 46-year-old citizen of one of the CIS countries was detained on October 14. According to the State National Security Committee, the detainee stayed abroad for a long time, where he «ideologically worked with the citizens of the CIS, instilling a terrorist worldview with them, with the purpose of replenishing the bandit formations of international terrorism in Syria with new recruits, and also prepared conditions for settling and subsequent recruitment in the territory of Kyrgyzstan.»

Now the intelligence services are conducting operational search activities to identify the possible links between the detainee in Kyrgyzstan and beyond it.
