Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan agree on Kambarata and Kasansay reservoir

Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan agreed on Kambarata-1 and Orto-Tokoy (Kasansay) water reservoir. Today, five more documents were signed during the state visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev to Tashkent.

Among them are:

— Memorandum of mutual understanding between National Energy Holding Company JSC and Uzbekhydroenergo JSC on cooperation in the field of Kambaratinskaya HPP-1 project;

— Agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on confidence-building measures in the area of ​​the state border;

— Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the inter-state use of Orto-Tokoy (Kasansay) reservoir in Ala-Buka district of Jalal-Abad region;

— Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the International Road Transport dated September 4, 1996;

— Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the delegation of responsibility for air traffic management.

Yesterday, the parties signed 12 documents, including a declaration on strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and trust between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and exchanged ratification documents on the border treaty.
