57 ethnic Kyrgyz from abroad enrolled at universities of Kyrgyzstan in 2017

At least 75 state-funded places at higher education institutions of Kyrgyzstan are allocated annually for the ethnic Kyrgyz living in China, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Press service of the Ministry of Education of the KyrgyzRepublic reported.
According to it, 57 people were recommended for enrollment at universities for 2017/2018 academic year. They are citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China.
Training is conducted in all areas of the basic universities of the KyrgyzRepublic — humanitarian, engineering, medical, agricultural and others.
In the last academic year, about 300 ethnic Kyrgyz studied at the higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan, both within the quotas allocated by the Kyrgyz government and on a contract basis.
