Kyrgyzstani Bekzhan Matysaev won a bronze medal at the Thai boxing tournament in the framework of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games held in Ashgabat. Official website of competitions reported.
Four wrestlers presented Kyrgyzstan in Thai boxing. Elazan Zamirbekov (up to 54 kg) and Mirbek Sartkalmakov (up to 60 kg) dropped out of the fight, losing the starting fights. Timur Mamatisakov (up to 63.5 kg) in the 1/8 finals defeated the representative of Vietnam, but then he lost to the Kazakh and also completed his performance.
Bekzhan Matysaev (67 kg) defeated Ka Lon Li (Macao) in 1/4 finals, then lost to Mustafa Saparmuradov (Turkmenistan) and became the third in the final protocol.
At the time, our national team has 21 medals, including one gold, six silver and 14 bronze.
