CEC: 11 presidential candidates have criminal record

11 citizens who have a criminal record have been detected among those who submitted applications for participation in the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan. Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission Nurzhan Shayldabekova told today at a press conference.

According to her, 7 of them have one conviction, one candidate was tried twice. «There are those among candidates who have been convicted of fraud and those whose conviction was removed from official records," Nurzhan Shayldabekova said.

In total, 59 candidates applied for participation in the elections.
