Ministry of Economy tells about Kyrgyzstan’s readiness for new EEU regulations

Deputy Minister of Economy Almaz Sazbakov tells whether Kyrgyzstan is ready for introduction of new technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.

According to him, it is necessary to prepare 97 reference rules for 18 technical regulations. Work on adapting the legislation has been completed on 92 of them. Work is underway on the remaining five norms (safety of elevators and pyrotechnic products).

He noted that there are 33 laboratories in Kyrgyzstan that can issue certificates for 12 regulations. If a domestic laboratory can not conduct tests, they will be conducted near abroad.

There are no laboratories for elevators and pyrotechnics in the republic. However, officials believe, there is no need to create laboratories for these technical regulations, since such products are not produced in the republic, but imported with compliance certificate.
