The Ministry of Emergency Situations needs more than four billion soms per year, about 40 percent of the sum is allocated. The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov said this at a press conference.
«We get 1, 800 billion soms a year, the rest is given when emergency situations occur," he said.
According to him, the ministry until recently was financed according to the leftover principle.
«In general, money is allocated for the liquidation of emergency situations, and only a little sun - for their prevention. For example, we are not given funding for security of 52 tailings, only for their maintenance. For these purposes, 13 million soms have been allocated, that is, it’s not even one million soms for one tailing," Kubatbek Boronov noted.
