The CEC approved the cost estimate for the preparation and conduction of the election campaign: 671,502 million soms are allocated for the election of the president of Kyrgyzstan.
Members of the Central Electoral Commission also approved the provision on informing voters, indicating that all participants of the process, including local government authorities, representatives of the candidate headquarters, are responsible for providing inaccurate information.
The provision on accreditation of mass media and Internet publications has been approved. Deputy Chairwoman of the CEC Atyr Abdrakhmatova asked how to deal with Internet resources, because according to the amendments to the law on elections, criteria should be set on accreditation of the media outlets.
But other members of the commission stressed that when accrediting the CEC will adhere to loyalty.
«Now the media shouldn’t publish information on prices in a ten-day period. It is enough to provide these data to the CEC, and we will publish it on our website. In addition, the period was increased up to 20 days. But only prices shouldn’t change," CEC head Nurzhan Shayldabekova said.
The presidential election will be held on October 15.
