Almazbek Atambayev expresses condolences to President of Sri Lanka

Almazbek Atambayev expressed his condolences to the President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena in connection with the numerous victims as a result of natural disasters, the Information Policy Department of the President’s Office reported.

«My sincere condolences over the numerous human casualties caused by natural disasters in the western, central and southern parts of Sri Lanka. I ask you to convey the words of deep sympathy and support to the families of the deceased and the wish for a speedy recovery to all the victims," the message says.

According to media reports, 146 people died as a result of floods and landslides caused by a tropical cyclone in Sri Lanka, almost 100 are reported missing.
