Parliament offers to increase minimum price of cigarettes to 50 soms

Relevant committee of the Parliament instructed the government of Kyrgyzstan to consider increasing the retail price of cigarettes. This decision was made today at the meeting.

According to deputy Alfia Samigullina, now the minimum price is 40 soms. It is proposed to increase it to 50 soms at the expense of the value-added tax. This is done to increase revenues to the budget.

Members of the committee supported the proposal.
