Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and UAE amounts to $ 520.7 million

For six years, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates amounted to $ 520.7 million. Such data was announced today at the Kyrgyz-Arab business forum by the Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan attaches special importance to the development of relations with the UAE. Bilateral relations are on the rise now. In 2014, the visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev to the UAE took place first time in the history of the countries. The main agreements in the economic sphere were signed.

«Over the past years, the volume of trade with the UAE has had growth dynamics. Let the figure be small in absolute terms, but this only indicates that we have unrealized potential," Arzybek Kozhoshev said.

«We can learn and adopt the experience of the UAE in Islamic banking, developing renewable energy sources, creating an attractive business climate and attracting investments. Kyrgyzstan and UAE can make full use of the full potential of bilateral relations. We are talking about the development of relations in the financial-economic, trade, tourism and energy sectors," he added.
