Supreme Court upholds verdict to Aida Salyanova's spouse

The Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan upheld the verdict to the husband of the MP from Ata Meken faction, Aida Salyanova, Bakyt Abdykaparov. The capital’s prosecutor’s office reported.

Recall, the district court gave Bakyt Abdykaparov seven years of suspended sentence. The former head of the Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office Nurtazin Jetibaev (6 years), ex-leading specialist of the security service of the Bishkek HPP Tursunbek Mambetaliev (2 years), former commercial director of Electric Stations JSC Kemel Imanov (3 years) and a friend of the ex-chief of Tazalyk ME Marat Kutanov — Kanat Karymshakov (5 years) also got suspended sentences. The latter was released from punishment like the entrepreneur Omurbek Turusbekov for «active assistance to the investigation.»

Those involved in the lobbying of the interests of the Kazakh company Zhezkazganenergosbyt in supply of coal to the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant — Bakyt Abdykaparov, Nurtazin Jetibaev and Tursunbek Mambetaliev — were ordered to pay fines of 50 calculated indices and compensate the damage to the state of 6, 690 million soms.

Six of the seven defendants (except for Tursunbek Mambetaliev), recall, were named in the case of a bribe of $ 50,000 for assistance in closure of the criminal case against the former chief of the Tazalyk ME Marat Kutanov.
