The State Mortgage Company will no longer build housing in Bishkek, Osh, and regional centers. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov announced this during a meeting with residents of Naryn region.
According to him, the company will now focus on housing construction in villages, district centers, and small towns.
«You know that we have been building in Bishkek, Osh, and regional centers, but now we are stopping there and moving into villages, district centers, and small towns. Many people in rural areas are on waiting lists, and their patience is running out,» Sadyr Japarov said.
The president noted that demand for affordable housing is also high in the regions. Therefore, efforts to provide citizens with apartments and houses will continue beyond the country’s major cities.
