About one kilogram of drugs hidden in washing machine sent to Bishkek

Officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Drug Control Service prevented the distribution of over 7,000 single doses of synthetic drugs and detained a suspect in their trafficking.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 22-year-old citizen E.N.B. was detained during an operational search in Bishkek. A personal search revealed approximately 3 grams of hashish.

Investigators subsequently determined that the suspect had received the package hidden inside a washing machine. During an inspection of the appliance, police officers discovered over a kilogram of the psychotropic substance.

According to investigators, the detainee worked for the online store «K» and was involved in the receipt, storage, packaging, and distribution of drugs through stashes in Bishkek and Chui region.

According to preliminary estimates, the value of the seized drug shipment on the black market could have exceeded 4.5 million soms.

The investigation is identifying other individuals who may be involved in the drug supply and distribution chain.
