The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan organized the evacuation of seven citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic from Myanmar. The ministry reported.
According to preliminary data, Kyrgyzstanis fell victim to fraudulent schemes in labor migration. They were illegally held in military camps in Myanmar after they accepted false offers of high-paying work.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to the competent authorities of Thailand, as well as the diplomatic missions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in Bangkok for their assistance in ensuring their safe return home.
Kyrgyzstanis are advised to exercise maximum vigilance when looking for work abroad, especially if offers are received through unofficial channels.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges people to seek advice from diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Kyrgyz Republic if they have the slightest doubt about the legality of employment.
