Kyrgyzstan continues to supply new cars to Russia, mainly Chinese

Kyrgyzstan continues to supply new cars to Russia, mainly made in China. According to the results of October, 112,000 new passenger cars were imported to the Russian Federation. This is a record for the last 12 years, Autostat analytical agency says.

Almost the entire volume of imports — 93 percent — was provided by China, and this number included cars of European, Japanese and Korean brands. Two percent of cars were imported from Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, 1 percent — from Kazakhstan.

The previous maximum was recorded in August 2012. Then, the supply of new cars to the Russian market amounted to about 120,000 cars.

The top 5 most imported cars in October were Chinese. The leader was Geely Monjaro crossover. Next come Tiggo 4 PRO and Tiggo 7 PRO. The top five also included Haval M6 and GAC GS3.

In total, according to the results of the first ten months, 795,000 new passenger cars were imported to Russia. In annual terms, the increase reached 45.4 percent.
