President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a decree aimed at improving the operation of Safe City component in Smart City project. The press service of the President reported.
According to it, the document appoints the Ministry of Internal Affairs as the main body responsible for coordination of the implementation of this project.
The Ministry of Digital Development should transfer the automated Safe City system to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the next ten days. Infocom state enterprise under the Ministry of Digital Development has been appointed the technical operator of this system.
In addition, the Prosecutor General’s Office will transfer a database of offenses recorded since February 1, 2023 to the archives. The Cabinet of Ministers will develop a new procedure for distributing fines and ensuring funding for the technical maintenance of the system.
Thus, the measures described in the decree are aimed at the smooth functioning and development of the Safe City system to improve road safety and the efficiency of law enforcement agencies.
