Kyrgyzstan's public debt increases by $115.4 million for month

At the end of November 2023, the public debt of Kyrgyzstan (external and internal) amounted to $6,115.99 billion (544,550.43 billion soms). The Ministry of Finance provided the data.

As noted, $4,545.11 billion (404,683.78 billion soms) is external debt, $1,570.88 billion (139,866.65 billion soms) is internal one.

Over the month, the public debt increased by $115.4 million. External increased by $62.68 million, internal -by $52.72 million.

At the end of November, public debt amounted to 50.48 percent of the adjusted forecast GDP.

More than half (52.8 percent) of the external debt are multilateral loans of the Kyrgyz Republic — $2,400.41 billion. The country owes other $2,082.89 billion (45.8 percent of external debt) as part of bilateral concessional loans. Of these, 37.6 percent of the republic’s external debt is debt to the Export-Import Bank of China, which amounted to $1,708.37 billion in November.
