Sadyr Japarov opens new border post in Karkyra

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov opened a new border post Chaar-Kuduk in Karkyra remote area, Tyup district, Issyk-Kul region. The press service of the head of state reported.

Construction of the post began in September 2023; it has all the necessary conditions for living, service and combat activities to protect remote sections of the border.

It is noted that the personnel of the new unit will guard a remote and complex section of the border at an altitude of 2,280 meters above sea level and belong to Karkyra department of the Border Service.

Military personnel will monitor foreign and domestic tourists and the maintenance of the border regime, state border regime at the entrance to Uch-Suu, Kichi-Chon-Zhynalach and Turuk pastures.
