Ex-husband cuts woman's face and neck in Selektsionnoye village

A former husband cut a woman’s face and neck in Selektionnoye village, Chui region. Samara Bosumbayeva posted the information on social media.

According to her, the victim is now in intensive care unit. Previously, the man was detained 2-3 times for a similar crime, but then released. Samara Bosumbayeva added that the police arrived at the scene late.

Commenting on the incident to 24.kg news agency, the Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region said that the police received a call on September 20. It was reported that a 36-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital with stab wounds.

The fact was registered under Article 130 «Causing serious harm to health» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and a criminal case was opened. The 39-year-old man was detained and taken to a temporary detention center. The investigation is ongoing.
