Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting on the preparation of the country for the heating season at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce. The press service of the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The Antimonopoly Service has been instructed to constantly monitor the prices of coal and socially important goods. Bakyt Torobaev emphasized that attention should be paid to prevention of the growth of prices for solid fuel in Batken and Osh.
He noted that 1.3 million tons of coal is required for the needs of residents. There are 549 bases deployed in the republic to sell the solid fuel. To avoid hype and speculation in the fall, the process is being accelerated so that those who want can buy coal in advance.
«If private companies raise prices for domestic consumers when exporting coal, the Cabinet of Ministers will ban exports. First of all, coal mining companies should cover the need of budget-funded institutions and the population in solid fuel,» the official added.
