At least 17 percent of respondents gave a positive assessment of the regular army, and 5 percent — of political parties. Results of the national survey conducted by the International Republican Institute say.
The survey was conducted from May 5 to May 25, 2023. It involved 1,492 Kyrgyzstanis aged 18 and older.
Thus, according to the results of the opinion poll, the role of the media in society was positively assessed by 9 percent, the parliament and the police — 8 percent, NGOs — 6 percent, the OSCE — 5 percent. The EAEU and the UN have 8 and 9 percent, respectively.
The survey takers also asked how Kyrgyzstanis assess the policy of the President Sadyr Japarov. About 64 percent responded positively. Deputy Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov takes the second place after Sadyr Japarov with 33 percent of positive feedback.
Only 31 percent of the respondents spoke positively about the head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev.
The leader of Butun Kyrgyzstan party, Adakhan Madumarov, was rated well by 11 percent of respondents.
