Survey results: Sadyr Japarov's rating falls by 3 percent

Rating of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov fell by 3 percent. Results of the national survey conducted by the U.S. International Republican Institute say.

The opinion poll was conducted from May 5 to May 25. It involved 1,492 Kyrgyzstanis from 18 years old and above.

According to the results, 35 percent of respondents trust Sadyr Japarov, while in September 2022 the figure was 38 percent. Kamchybek Tashiev, the chairman of the State Committee for National Security, takes the second place after the head of state, who is trusted by 14 percent of the respondents. The figure also decreased by 4 percent compared to September last year.

At least 13 percent of respondents trust MP Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov, compared to last year’s 11 percent. The leader of Butun Kyrgyzstan party Adakhan Madumarov is trusted by only 6 percent. The figure was 10 percent last September.

Only 2 percent of the respondents trust the ex-president Almazbek Atambayev. Eight percent do not trust none of the politicians, both current and former ones. This figure was 13 percent in September 2022.
