MP Daniyar Tolonov proposes amendments to the Tax Code of Kyrgyzstan. The document has been submitted for public discussion.
The initiator notes that it is necessary to bring the legislation in line with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). According to him, the technical regulations should contain a list of products or a description of objects of technical regulation, requirements for them and rules for their identification.
The document states that the definition of «heated tobacco product» needs to be specified. It will be synchronized both with the Tax Code and with the requirements of the technical regulations of the EAEU.
To date, the current standards do not meet the requirements of the technical regulations of the EAEU.
Daniyar Tolonov noted that the legislation should also stipulate that, in addition to cigarettes, minors cannot be sold devices for heating nicotine-containing products, nicotine-containing liquids, products with heated tobacco. Retail sale of cigarettes and cigarettes by the piece, without consumer packaging, should also not be allowed. Heated tobacco products, devices for heating nicotine-containing products, nicotine-containing liquids cannot be sold together with products that do not contain tobacco and nicotine.
