A special regime of temporary administration has been introduced at Eurasian Savings Bank, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The Board of the National Bank reportedly decided to terminate the special regime of temporary administration in Eurasian Savings Bank OJSC from June 23, 2023.
By another decision of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, a special regime of temporary administration was introduced from June 23, 2023 for a period of six months.
Taalaibek Alybaev was appointed a temporary administrator of Eurasian Savings Bank OJSC.
Earlier it was reported that the shareholders of the Eurasian Savings Bank plan to increase the size of its authorized capital to 640.4 million soms.
Eurasian Savings Bank OJSC is the former KyrgyzCreditBank.
It was renamed in April 2016. The conservation regime has been in effect since January 31, 2011 in connection with the initiation of a criminal case against its shareholders and officials. After that, shareholders were changed, and the Prosecutor General’s Office confirmed that there were no charges against them.
In May 2022, the controlling stake in the bank was transferred from the State Property Management Fund to the Ministry of Digital Development.
In December 2022, it became known about the changes in the list of holders of securities of Eurasian Savings Bank OJSC. Alfa Telecom CJSC (MEGA trademark) acquired 1.4 million shares. Now the company holds 9.42 percent of the bank’s authorized capital. The cost of shares is 28,269.6 million soms.
