A meeting of Finance Ministers and heads of central (national) banks of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states was held at Ala-Archa State Residence on May 29, 2026.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the SCO is an important platform for Kyrgyzstan to develop regional cooperation, strengthen ties, and foster good-neighborly relations.
Finance Minister Ruslan Suinaliev emphasized that the meeting was informative and constructive, and its results will significantly contribute to the further development of financial and economic cooperation within the organization.
Delegations from Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan participated in the meeting. Russia and Pakistan presented reports online.
Representatives of the SCO countries noted the progress in consultations on the establishment of the SCO Development Bank and the further improvement of the organization’s financial infrastructure.
Following the meeting, the parties signed the final protocol of the session.
