Employees of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) detained a member of Butun Kyrgyzstan party Kubanychbek Asanov. His wife Rakhat Zhoroyeva told 24.kg news agency.
According to her, Kubanychbek Asanov was detained on May 10 in his house in Belovodskoye village, Chui region. On May 11, by a court decision, he was arrested for a month and placed in the remand center 1.
Rakhat Zhoroyeva told that her husband was charged under Article 330 (Inciting racial, ethnic, national, religious or inter-regional hatred) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«He wrote a Facebook post about an increase in the number of the Romani in Kyrgyzstan and asked the authorities to put things in order. He is engaged in farming, does not work anywhere, he has been a member of Butun Kyrgyzstan party for the last two years,» she said.
The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek will consider a measure of restraint for the accused.
