Athletes from Kyrgyzstan won two medals on the first day of Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul & Raatbek Sanatbaev Tournament in Bishkek. United World Wrestling website reports.
At least 15 representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic participated in the tournament on the first day.
Beksultan Makhmudov lost the first fight in the weight category up to 97 kilograms to an athlete from China, but defeated the Chinese and Kazakh wrestlers during a repechage round of the tournament. He won a bronze medal.
Two representatives of Kyrgyzstan competed for bronze in the weight category up to 63 kilograms — Dastan Kadyrov and Bayaman Karimov. Dastan Kadyrov won a medal.
