An avalanche descended on the 223rd kilometer of Bishkek — Osh highway in Toktogul district of Jalal-Abad region today, February 18, at about 9.30 a.m. As the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports, the amount of snow mass is being specified.
According to the ministry, a section of Bishkek — Osh road at the 231st kilometer, which was hit by an avalanche the day before, has been cleared. Road workers and special equipment are going to the 223rd kilometer of the road.
Due to avalanches, Sosnovka post in Chui region and Aral post in Jalal-Abad region were closed. Movement of all types of transport is temporarily restricted.
