Rosselkhoznadzor appealed to the veterinary service of Kyrgyzstan with a request to suspend the certification of trout and trout caviar sent to Russia. Website of the organization reports.
It is noted that Rosselkhoznadzor over the course of two years has repeatedly revealed the excess of the maximum permissible levels of prohibited and harmful substances in trout and trout caviar coming from Kyrgyzstan. During the physical inspection of products, the inspectors of the service established the presence of fish of a larger size, not typical for river trout, which raises suspicions of its origin.
In this regard, Rosselkhoznadzor initiated an inspection of nine Kyrgyz companies producing fish products in January 2023.
«Given the lack of a response from the Kyrgyz department competent in the field of veterinary, as well as the ongoing supplies of these goods to Russia, the service turned to foreign colleagues with a request to suspend the certification of trout and trout caviar from all Kyrgyz enterprises to Russian recipients from February 16, 2023. The issue of resuming such supplies will be considered after Rosselkhoznadzor specialists conduct inspections of fish producers in Kyrgyzstan,» the statement says.
Rosselkhoznadzor also turned to the Eurasian Economic Commission to assist in organizing the inspection and participation of representatives of the commission in it.
