An independent center for certification and validation of vocational schools will be created in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
The issue was discussed at a meeting with the participation of Deputy Minister of Education Rasul Abazbek uulu, head of the primary vocational education department Gulnur Mamyrova, heads of secondary and higher educational institutions.
«Taking into account that currently 60 percent of the working population do not have an occupational education, work is needed to create an independent certification and validation center. This work will be carried out in eight centers of excellence under the Ministry of Education and vocational schools recognized as the best. The documents for the establishment of the center are being agreed on,» the Deputy Minister said.
According to Rasul Abazbek uulu, the center will coordinate the entire process; close communication with stakeholders (employers, business associations, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration) will be ensured.
The project is implemented with the support of the GIZ representative office.
