The first meeting of the program committee for preparation for the second Eurasian Economic Forum was held. Press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported.
This year the event will be held under the motto «Eurasian Integration in a Multipolar World». It will be attended by the heads of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The forum is planned to be held on May 24-25, 2023 before the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. According to the rules, the Eurasian Economic Forum is held annually in the country chairing the EAEU. This year it will take place in Russia.
At the meeting of the program committee, representatives of authorized departments and businesses of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as structural divisions of the EEC, discussed the general concept and preliminary content of the forum, possible topics for panel sessions and holding events on its sidelines.
«Thematic sessions and dialogue events will touch upon the most pressing topics on the international agenda — the worldview foundations of modern Eurasianism, the strategic objectives of the EAEU for decades to come, and digital transformation. Climate challenges and the union’s consolidated response, energy and food security, relations with the SCO, BRICS, ASEAN countries, the states of Africa and the Arab East will be discussed,» the EEC said.
The first Eurasian Economic Forum was held last year in Bishkek.
