The Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship of Kyrgyzstan takes place at the Kozhomkul Sports Palace in Bishkek. The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy reported.
The competitions started on January 21, and the Freestyle Wrestling Championship will be held on January 23-24.
At the opening ceremony, the head of the ministry, Altynbek Maksutov, noted the importance of the event, a healthy and active lifestyle. According to the official, the national championship is designed to improve the sportsmanship of the participants. Based on its results, athletes will be selected for the national team of Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Asian Championship and other international and qualifying tournaments in 2023.
