The Committee on Budget of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan will consider an agreement between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on the construction of a car plant in the republic. Deputy Dastan Bekeshev announced.
According to him, Uzavtosanoat JSC from Uzbekistan and DT Technik LLC and Nur JSC from Kyrgyzstan will implement the plant construction project.
Under the agreement, the Kyrgyz Republic undertakes:
— To exempt from VAT and customs duties component goods for the production of cars and the cars themselves;
— To exempt car buyers from the primary registration;
— To create preferences for the state purchase of produced cars;
— To allocate finances for lending of the manufactured cars;
— To introduce a recycling fee on the second year after the production of a car;
— To increase the registration fee for imported cars from January 1, 2023.
«I don’t know how companies from our side were selected, and it is interesting what cars will be produced in Kyrgyzstan,» the deputy emphasized.
Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have decided on the site for the construction of the new plant for the production of Uzbek cars. The enterprise will be located in Sokuluk district of Chui region.
