The Head of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed his gratitude to Sadyr Japarov for coming to participate in a major international event.
«Your visit is of special importance. Our bilateral meeting will further promote relations between our countries. There are no disagreements between our states. I am sure that thanks to joint efforts we will be able to multiply our achievements, and the bilateral partnership will continue to develop dynamically,» he said.
In turn, the head of the Kyrgyz Republic thanked his colleague for the invitation to visit the capital of Kazakhstan.
«I am pleased to participate in the first meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and the European Union in Astana. We highly appreciate the level of Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations. I take this opportunity to congratulate you on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries,» he said.
The heads of state highly appreciated the practical results of the joint work of the governments of the two countries in the field of trade. Compared to the same period last year, the trade turnover increased by 17.7 percent. The task of bringing the volume of bilateral trade up to $2 billion is being systematically accomplished.
At the meeting, the presidents also discussed issues of Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation in the transport and logistics, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
