In the final, the Kyrgyz athlete competed against Zoltan Levai from Hungary and defeated him with a score 8-0.
In the Greco-Roman style competitions, Akzhol Makhmudov previously defeated representatives of Brazil, Mexico, Turkey and Korea in the weight category up to 77 kilograms.
