Three checkpoints on Kyrgyz-Kazakh border suspend passage of citizens

The Department of Information and Communications of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported that today, on September 2, in connection with updating of the technical base of the unified external migration accounting system, the passage of citizens and vehicles will be temporarily suspended at some checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border.

These are the following checkpoints:

  • From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — at Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhny checkpoint;
  • From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. — at Ken-Bulun-Avtodorozhny checkpoint;
  • From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. — at Tokmok-Avtodorozhny checkpoint.

The Border Service noted that the work could be completed faster.

The rest of the checkpoints are operating as usual.

The following checkpoints are located on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border:

  • In Chui region — Tokmok-Avtodorozhny, Ken-Bulun-Avtodorozhny, Ak-Zhol-Avtodorozhny, Chaldybar-Avtodorozhny;
  • In Talas region — Chon-Kapka-Avtodorozhny.

The Border Service asks citizens crossing the state border to plan their routes in advance.
