Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting at the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Topical issues of the ministry, issues of environmental safety and supervision, development and protection of natural resources were discussed. Bakyt Torobaev noted the importance of measures in the field of ecology and climate within the framework of the announced Year of Protection of Mountain Ecosystems and Climate Resilience, the presidential decree on urgent measures to preserve the ecology of Issyk-Kul lake and Zhashyl Myras national campaign.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet also stressed the importance of implementation of measures to address the problem of smog and control air quality in the capital, introduce waste management programs, develop sectoral climate change adaptation programs, revise regulations in the field of atmospheric air protection, and prepare specific projects for filing applications to the Green Climate Fund.
