The Cabinet of Ministers approved Program to Combat Human Trafficking in Kyrgyzstan for 2022-2025. The relevant decision was signed by the head of the Cabinet Akylbek Japarov.
Its goal is to ensure a systematic approach and increase the effectiveness of measures to combat trafficking in persons, aimed at promoting the rights of victims of human trafficking, based on the coordination and cooperation of state agencies with public and international organizations.
Priorities of the program:
- Legal regulation of the state policy framework in the field of combating human trafficking, aimed at preventing, combating human trafficking, identification and redirecting of victims of trafficking in order to assist and protect them;
- Prevention of human trafficking;
- Suppressing and prosecuting the perpetrators of human trafficking;
- Providing protection and assistance to victims of human trafficking;
- Partnership, cooperation and coordination of activities in the field of combating human trafficking.
