The ex-chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) was sentenced. The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek informed 24.kg news agency.
Abdil Segizbaev was found guilty and sentenced to a fine of 4 million soms. The former head of the SCNS was released under a written undertaking not to leave the country until the court verdict enters into legal force.
Six criminal cases were initiated against Abdil Segizbaev. The former SCNS chairman had been in custody since January 2021. In March 2022, the former head of the special services was diagnosed with unstable angina and thyroid cancer.
