COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan: State of emergency could soon be lifted

Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov held a meeting of the operational headquarters for combating coronavirus infection.

The Ministry of Health announced data on the current epidemiological situation in the country, which is currently stable. Officials heard information about the pace of vaccination against COVID-19. This work is ongoing.

Edil Baisalov instructed the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with the Ministry of Health, to work out the possibility of lifting the state of emergency introduced by the government order on March 22, 2020.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to work out the issue of abolishing mandatory express testing for coronavirus infection of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic when crossing the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border.

Presidential Envoys to the regions were instructed, together with the Ministry of Health, to continue the campaign on vaccination of the population against COVID-19.
